"Aesop's Fables Set In Verse" is a selection of these venerable short tales, which the author has augmented by setting them in verse. But their modest bearing belies their true nature. All virtually metaphorical, they are succinct commentaries on the foibles of the human psyche. As insightful and practicable as they were at the time of their creation two and a half millennia ago, they warrant the same level of recognition today.
