My wife, Yvette, and eleven other sufferers of dementia are in a memory support unit in a care center that is affiliated with a luxurious retirement home called Vi at Palo Alto, California. Gigi, a baby girl, was very often brought into the MS unit to visit her grandmother. Gigi brought joy not only to her but to others in the unit. I imagined that heaven sent an angel down to this unit and that she transformed herself into Gigi to bring some cheerfulness to this unfortunate group. The story is about Gigi's efforts to do that.
