This PhD dissertation examines Christianity's 2000 year relationship with returning warriors. Particular attention is given to Biblical examples of war-related posttraumatic stress injuries. The author proposes that Biblical Hebrew has a word for this wound to the soul. He also suggests that both the Old and the New Testament contain the remedy to heal this wound of war.
