Inspiration for this new American art form began while I was living in Norway in 1979. I began creating Symbolic Art Patterns (SartP) after designing the trademarked Lewis and Guggenheim Collection of black iconography in 1991 with the late Mary Guggenheim in Paris, France. It was then that I gave birth to the first Symbolic Art Pattern. I have relentlessly given 20 years of some refinement as well as innovative design to the Symbolic Art Patterns launched in this small book. My journey is still beginning. Renelle D.
