"St. Bernard observes that when our Lord intrusted his sheep to St. Peter, he said: "Feed my sheep; do not milk nor sheer them." The duties of the priest are sublime and necessary to the Church as Saint Alphonsus demonstrates. He instructs priests how to be holy men and 'other Christs', as is their sublime calling.
