I started writing poetry as an outlet to the tragedies that have occured in my life. I have survived child abuse; physical, verbal, emotional abuse, racism and discrimination for my sexuality. I have overcome dark moments and have enjoyed happy ones, and through it all I have had my eyes on the prize. The goal has always been to share with others my thoughts and feelings, no matter how raw and uncensored they may be. I share my innermost demons because I know that there are many others out there just like me. Women and children with no voice, and with no choice. I write because it is natural...
