HIV/AIDS (Human Immune Virus/ Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) affects human including pregnant women and the unborn. As a step to mitigate the effect of HIV/AIDS on Pregnant women and Unborn Child in Enugu State, proper health education has been advised. This research work looked into (i) Concept of HIV/AIDS, (ii) Mode of Transmission, (iii) Impact of HIV on Pregnancy (IV) Factors Responsible for the prevalence of HIV among Women and (V) Prenatal Transmission. This work serves as a reference for academics, researchers and Health workers.

Physcia grisea plant,a fungus that belongs to the specie of plants called grisea and also known as lichens were examined in this research. This research work looked into (i) causes of ALT high levels (ii) Causes of increased and decreased Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP). The results showed that Physcia grisea is a useful agent in the management of increased Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) related diseases e.g. Toxic Hepatitis, cirrhosis. It was also recommended for weight management.
