Anberg family members as well as everyone in their tight knit community have magical powers. The Anbergs, however, move away from their friends, and instead choose to live with "non magicals" simply to experience life that is different from their own. They work, go to school, and live typical lives until mom Kay, dad David and son Adam are abducted in the middle of the night by unseen forces.
