The Fable of the Hidden Pearl is a fantasy fiction quest tale based on the 2,000 year old Gnostic poem The Hymn of the Pearl. Jane, a trekker lost in a blizzard in the Nepalese mountains finds a rudimentary hut to shelter and await rescue which never comes. At the brink of death, she comes to the notice of a Nameless One, a Himalayan yogi who long ago shed his human form.
