The story is set in England after Queen Victoria has passed the throne to her son, Edward VII. Edmund Park has inherited his own throne of sorts (a glass factory) after his father's death. After a series of mishaps and disruptions from labor unions, the business that Edmund's father built is about to come crashing down around him.
