Murdered at the age of seventeen by a Catholic priest, John comes back to life. Facing the priest, he's puzzled that they do not finish him off, and sets out on an adventure of discovery. He witnesses the eruption of Mount Saint Helens, and encounters four creatures: First, a peaceful but frightening meeting with Bigfoot in a blizzard.
