This volume presents the current state of archaeological knowledge of the urban world in Hispania in the historical period between the 4th and 7th centuries. It also addresses the open debate around scholars' perception of the status of the population centres that persisted until the Early Middle Ages - in episcopal cities or not - through archaeological documents.
