There are few contemporary collections of reformed devotional and theological confessions outside of scripture being used in the protestant church today. The confessions that follow are revised and re-formatted from original works by Saint Augustine, John Calvin and Martin Luther. Just like the current movement of re-casting older theologically-rich hymns into contemporary forms, these have been updated to be both more poetic and 'accessible' in language - considering the idea that a majority of the originals were not in English to start.
