Cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) is a polyphagous agricultural pest which attacks a wide variety of agricultural crops including cotton, corn, tomatoes, sorghum, soybeans and groundnuts. Presently chemical control of H. armigera in Iran is mainly done using endosulfan, profenofos and thiodicarb.
