Taking place in 1997, Brooklyn born Shannon Samuel is an overly sensitive young man who has recently become of age. In a bid to obtain a more suitable standard of living, he reasons that working hard and playing by the rules are key. However, he is finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the ill-timed challenges that life produces and struggles to make sense of a society that he has been naive to.
