The purpose of this study was to
determine the economic impact a local economy received when
hosting a sporting event. Using input-output analysis,
spectator expenses were assessed. Spectator groups spent
approximately $0.9 million within host city during the
event, an additional $181,609 on the event site. Total
direct economic impact accrued to the host citys economy
