This book consists of a series of essays that will take the reader on a journey from Fort Sumter to Palmito Ranch with an almost hour by hour account of each campaign of the American Civil War. Written from the point of view of a Civil War buff, these essays will put the reader in the saddle along with the Generals as well as standing with the Privates on the firing line. All the major campaigns (and a few minor ones) are mentioned along with quotes from the accounts of those who took part.
