Dieses Buchlein ist aus den vier doppelstOndigen Vorlesungen her vorgegangen, die die Autoren anlaBlich des DMV-Seminars gleichen Titels auf der Jahrestagung der DMV 1979 in Hamburg gehalten haben. Sein Text enthalt zwar wesentlich mehr Details als die Vorlesungen. Dennoch war es nicht unsere Absicht, ein "luckenloses" Textbuch zu schreiben. Viel mehr haben wir lediglich versucht, dem Leser ein moglichst ubersicht liches Bild neuerer Ergebnisse und Methoden in der Theorie der Konvexitat in der komplexen Analysis zu geben. Quantum cohomology, the theory of Frobenius manifolds and the relations to integrable systems are flourishing areas since the early 90's.
An activity was organized at the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, with the purpose of bringing together the main experts in these areas. This volume originates from this activity and presents the state of the art in the subject.
