Harvey, the horse, lives on Elm Grove Farm. He helps farmer Tom "work" cattle but doesn't like working during hot weather. He watches Tom with his wide-brimmed white hat and decides he wants a hat to keep him shaded. Through a couple of shenanigans, Harvey gets the message across to Tom. Tom slaps his knee in laughter at Harvey's antics but understands Harvey's horsey language. Harvey looks comical in his custom-made straw hat.
