This is a story of people living in Yorkshire and given something of the better of life there from the 1920's to the 1950's. There is not much high drama and no sex . As the author says, "I'm no D.H. Lawrence and to me, sex doesn't come over well as a spectator sport."

This is the sequel to the writers first novel "Building the Bridge" (AuthorHouse) and carries the story of the Yorkshire village and its inhabitants into the 1960s. It is an attempt to picture the life and problems of those times. This volume will be much more intelligible if read as a sequel---which can be done for the modest additional sum of eight pounds sterling.
