In der Arbeit wurde ein Modell zur Bestimmung des Wertbeitrages von Produktionstechnologien zum Produktionssystem entwickelt. Damit können der monetäre Wert der Technologie vor dem Hintergrund des Einsatzes in einem Produktionssystem ermittelt und Ansatzpunkte zur technologischen Gestaltung und Verbesserung realer Produktionssysteme abgeleitet werden. Im Vordergrund steht die Bewertung der Technologie im Hinblick auf deren Beitrag zur Erfüllung der Ziele des Produktionssystems sowie die Verknüpfung der Ziele mit relevanten Technologiecharakteristika.
