FETCHING STRANDED SOUL PIECES by Zuzannah L'ark is composed as a record of songs with interwoven themes of dreams, day-dreaming, cat-naps, nightmares, and visionary lucid states of mind of the characters who often bear traits of travelers, adventurers, discoverers, healers; some are mere visitors, some almost homeless, some freshly uprooted, some lost, some fallen from the sky, and they are mainly women. The author writes in English as her second language.

Verunka lives on the outskirts of an ancient Central European city, which, webbed with imagination feeding legends, is yet left untouched with much nature to enjoy.

Curious, as most seven-something years old people are, Verunka constantly questions the mysterious world surrounding her. Sometimes the answers don t come quickly, or easily, sometimes no one knows.

Verunka is going to graduate from the first grade. She likes school and her teacher, Mrs. Marais, who will soon release her class for the summer recess, crowned by their first Certificate. Now what? Summer adventures? What kind?...
