A former celebrity hires Buck to prove that her ex-husband killed her executive assistant almost twenty years before. Buck must locate the corpse to unravel a web of deceptions that hides the truth.

The earthling Malcolm Talbot is taken by Mawgri Qampoq on a mission to end illegal mining on the plant Aasheen, inhabited by intelligent amphibians. They are confronted with a criminal mastermind, a gang of thugs, illegal workers, and pirates, all who want a share of the loot. To end the plundering won't be easy.

Buck is coerced into helping two criminals recover their missing property. However, the property has been taken by several people, so Buck has to work hard to get it all without crossing the line into illegality.

Malcolm Talbot and his space traveling companions go to Huppof, the moon of Putkwyz, where live intelligent catlike creatures. Malcolm falls in love, but a terrorist army tries to take over. His friend and companion, Mawgri Qampoq, is named Admiral of Air and Space to combat the terrorists.

Buck Jaspers is hired by wealthy recluse Isaac Bramble to solve three deaths that have occurred on the Bramble Estate during the past year. At first the three deaths seem unrelated, but Buck's probing reveals connections and uncovers a deadly secret.

Buck's client is a young songwriter accused of killing her father and robbing a bank. Eyewitnesses have identified her, but Buck believes she is innocent. He will have to be very creative to solve this case, and sets off on a journey that will take him where he never thought he would go.
