The Tuttle Definitive is without a doubt Joseph J. Tuttle's best book yet. His horsemanship knowledge along with extreme betting savvy is conveyed page after page. It's my belief that this book can help the beginner/novice, but it seemed very obvious to me that the content was directed towards helping the avid/advanced horseplayer. The price of $29.95 truly isn't that outrageous, considering the amount of helpful content, and the total wordage (which is over 34,000). That makes this book seem like a steal, in my humble opinion

Recently revised from the Mid-February edition as of 11/01/08. I've made a very concerted effort to try and incorporate as much pertinent horsemanship knowledge into the chapters; as a way to better serve the novice; average, or below average horseplayer. "Trainer" is a "novella" by definition. It's a little under 73 pages in length (6 total chapters), and a bit more than 11,000 total words. The Author's previous eight books pertain to the world of handicapping either sports or horses. And by simply typing his name in a Google or Amazon search (Joseph J Tuttle) you'll be able to look-up his other efforts.
