Konrad Fleck s romance Floris and Blancheflour (c. 1200) has only been previously available in 19th century editions. This volume presents a new critical edition based on all existing sources, partially reproduced for the reader. The research portion includes a history of the work s transmission, its literary history, and comparative analyses that newly situate the story in Medieval German literature as well as European narrative tradition.
