Black Tea tells the story of a family. Seemingly perfect on the exterior, this Indian family bears burdens that transcend all forms of logic and reasoning. It tells of the conflict between a mother and a daughter, who are torn apart by their acceptance, or lack of it, in regards to their skin colors. In order to see her daughter happy, the mother goes to unspeakable extremes, even though they reveal her own hypocrisy. On the other side of this family is the ideal son... or so they think.
