This work argues that diaspora cannot stand as an epistemological category of analysis, separated and distinct from the intersectionality of race, class, gender, and sexuality. Through narrative analysis along with gendered understanding of the reasons, processes and consequences of displacement for the construction on femininities and sexualities, this book offers new ways of understanding and conceptualizing diaspora.
