Over last few decades environmental pollution is a major subject of global concern, mainly due to proliferating development of industry. Contamination of water is one aspect of this pollution. Present research work is an effort to find a viable solution of this worldwide problem, especially without or with minimum use of synthetic chemicals. The major aim of this study was to introduce some suitable bioadsorbents easily available in Pakistan for selected toxic metals and phenolic compounds.
