Seymour Bandes was born in 1917 in the Bronx and lived there until 1942 when he was drafted into the Air Corps. He graduated from New York University and attained his Master's Degree in Education at Columbia University. After the war, he worked for a weekly newspaper, the Oakdale Leader in central California. After a successful year there, he came back to New York and married and went into the printing business. This is his first book and, perhaps, not his last.
