Rough Edges is my first book of poetry in which I share some of my life experience. There is no easy way to succeed in life. I believe I have learned from trial, error, victory and, at times, true grit. My strength comes from my roots, that is my immediate family my parents and brothers, as well as the "village." The village was, and is, all encompassing: my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, pastors, doctors, nurses and friends. They set the life bar high, and that was that.
