Phosphorus removal for small-scale wastewater applications were investigated using adsorption and coagulation. Alum sludge, a waste residual generated in water treatment utilities, was used for treatment of orthophosphate. Bench scale experiments were designed to evaluate the effectiveness for phosphorus removal.
