Cement Kiln Dust (CKD) is a voluminous co-generated product of the cement manufacturing process. This book presents the feasibility of incorporating CKD, from various sources, as a replacement for Portland cement in the development of Controlled Low Strength Materials (CLSM) with acceptable properties.
The findings show that with a little Portland cement and moderate volumes of CKD a good mix that easily satisfies the requirements of CLSM can be developed. Suitable CLSM mixes can also be produced without Portland cement, using CKD alone.
