Why did I write this book? To educate and guide other Southern expatriates and to serve notice to those in the New York metro area that it ain't the center of the world. Although I take some light-hearted potshots, this guide actually will help you navigate this "third rate Babylon" as H.L. Mencken called it; and quite possibly avoid an exit from this earth as a chalk outline model.
