1954 South Carolina. Deep South. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that segregation in schools is unconstitutional. Despite the ruling, racism, discrimination and school segregation remain the norm. At a remote rural middle school, a violent, racist school bully, whose father is in the KKK, has vowed to kill any 'nigger' who sets foot on the school grounds.
