This delightful play, written by Julia Ellsworth Ford, is loosely based around Oscar Wilde's "The Selfish Giant." The dwarf character of Snickerty Nick is entirely original and the play centres around him. The little boy is only a loving and beloved child and Winter and Spring are personified by fairies and gnomes. A wonderful play full of magic and delight. This plays pages are illustrated with the wonderful illustrations of Arthur Rackham who's magic touch, making real all the fairies and gnomes, endears all child life to grown ups and well as to children.
