The 9th (Airborne) Field Company, Royal Engineers has had a long tradition of fighting as infantry and the operation at Arnhem was no exception. This is the story of two remarkable Royal Engineer officers during the Battle of Arnhem. One was the former commander of the British 1st Airborne Division's engineers and the other was its current commander.
