Emily walks into a cabin in Snow Hill Maryland in 2010 and walks out of it into the 1700's. She soon discovers that there is no easy way for her to get back to her own time and settles in for a life lived in colonial Maryland. She falls in love, forms lifelong friendships, and visits some of the historical places she remembers from her life before she "traveled," as the others like her call it. She also faces terrible hardships. In the end, though, she learns that sometimes, you really can go home again.
