In 1939, a young woman of 18 yrs. began to launch out onto a journey of Faith to study to become a Missionary to Africa. That plan was put aside to do her mother's bidding, and enter a marriage which ended in disaster. Her next marriage was in failure, also, and the downward spiral was well in motion. With four children to care for, this abandoned woman of God became a statistic. A liaison was formed with a kindly Preacher man, who seemed to really care.
