Marion Helen Abruzese was born November 21, 1919 in Sharon Massachusetts. Where she went to the Charles R. Wilber School. After school, she would baby-sit for friends, and started telling children's stories. Marion was an avid reader. She would go to the library and read. She loved biographies, and would envy the author's schooling. Schooling was something she could not continue, but her dreams of becoming a writer never stopped her.
