The church today is in crisis. Our society views the church, for the most part, as archaic and irrelevant. It even appears to have lost the power to change the lives of the very ones that proclaim it to be the answer to the world's problems. The gospel that Jesus demonstrated during His earthly ministry and delivered to the church's leadership has all but evaporated. The church has reduced the gospel to a "salvation only" message, whose focus is individualistic and internal. The salvation only message has literally caused the church to become "saved but stuck."
