Steve Hester studied creative writing with William Blackburn at Duke, but then went to Harvard Law School, an experience which stunned him into silence for twenty years.
A refugee from the law, Steve wrote seriously for six years before his death in 2005. He took workshops with Rod Jellema and Moshe Dor at the Writer's Center in Bethesda. His poetry has been published in the "GW Review," the "Plum Review" and "Wordwrights," and he gave readings at Miller's Cabin, Leaf-Through Books and other local venues.
