This is the story of black life that I witnessed in the streets of Detroit beginning in 1940. As a young boy, I learned to apply my skills of what I learned in the streets, then I "sharpened my game" and became a well known pimp and player. Those were the days where hoes were queens and looked upon as the first ladies of the day. They were also the days where hoes were dutifully shown full respect and honor for the role that they played in representing the players and pimps of their choice. We, as the pimps and hoes, took our place in the sun, to be or not to be, in the then generation....
