This is a photographic history of Maori protest from the 1960s to the Hikoi of 2004. Included are demonstrations involving apartheid South Africa, the Land March of 1975, and the occupations of Raglan, Bastion Point, and Pakaitore. By and large the photographs chosen illustrate both the issues and the passions involved, and the book serves to remind the reader of the importanace of the right to protest and the influence which that right, responsibily exercised, can have.
