This volume provides extensive documentation of the Roman milestones from theprovince of Dalmatia, together with an edition of the inscriptions found on them. On the basis of the milestones and archaeological evidence, it was possible to reconstruct the Roman road system in the province. The documentation of some 350 milestones and their inscriptions includes the history of their discovery, a description of the finds, photos, drawings, a bibliography and a critical commentary. Detailed road maps and indices complete the volume.
