In 40 years, the architecture firm von Gerkan, Marg und Partner (gmp) has designed and built a great deal of influential work worldwide, but nowhere is it more concentrated than in Berlin. The Akademie der Kunste (Academy of Arts) in Berlin has carried out the task of promoting the German Arts, since its foundation in 1696.
