The GAMM Committee for Numerical Methods in Fluid Mechanics organizes workshops which should bring together experts of a narrow field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to exchange ideas and experiences in order to speed-up the development in this field. In this sense it was suggested that a workshop should treat the solution of CFD problems on vector computers. Ein Abdruck des gesamten Briefwechsels wurde etwa 1500 Seiten erfordern, kam also nicht in Betracht. Es wurde versucht, die interessantesten Briefe herauszusuchen, aber die getroffene Aus wahl ist sicher subjektiv und teilweise willkurlich. Es wurde nicht einmal versucht, nach formal einheitlichen Kriterien vor zugehen. Z.
