Each piece includes calligraphic picture-writing originally by Turkish Sufi mystics over the centuries. Many of the designs are borrowed from authentic Turkish tiles and tapestries.

He has come to represent the humorous side of Turkish culture. The artwork in this book was originally hand-painted by Zeki Findikoglu in 1988.
