As one of the many stories of the courageous men and women during the 2nd World War this story tells of the hardening experience of 2nd Lt. George M. Mikels as part of the allied invasion of France that helped to liberate that country from the tyranny of the Nazis. The story also tells of the experiences of daughter Connie and her husband Michael in retracing steps of her father and seeing the places in Normandy where the events occurred and also talking with witnesses of events in 1944.
