In the 1950's newlyweds, Louise and Dennis Clark, a young African American couple chooses to leave their boring farmland home to escape being consumed in a small town life. They travel to Los Angeles where they hope to find prosperity. The couple moves into a coach house in Los Angeles, where they discover a hidden treasure in a long forgotten cellar. Two white conmen arrive on the scene after following a trail of rumors which has led them to this secreted treasure.
