Based on a version by Tim Supple, this adaptation was first staged at
Johannesburg's Market Theatre in 2008. This new adaptation is a piece of dynamic storytelling which, like the original stories, has allegorical
resonances, this time with present-day South Africa. Generosity of spirit
triumphs over meanness: a dose of good medicine in these tough times.
